TEDWomen introduces Ringly

TEDx women’s week kicked off night before last in the USA, with live simulcasts to conference facilities around the world. I attended the Cape Town simulcast event at the Southern Sun hotel in Cape Town CBD.

TEDWomen is a three-day conference focusing on the power of women and girls to be creators and change-makers. The program of speakers, workshops, events and discussions has sparked some of TED’s most iconic moments yet. The theme for this years event: Momentum. You can find out more about TEDWomen here.

One of my favourite new technological items introduced – RINGLY.

It is a line of rings that connects to your cellphone and sends customised notifications through vibration and light. Their goal is to allow women to put their cellphones away yet still be alerted if they are receiving an urgent message or call. In my opinion, in a world of constant connectivity, this is a great step forward to managing your technology and your life.

RINGLY – JEWELLRY MEETS TECHNOLOGY. Check it out on their website here.
